The voice inside me has begun
Calling through the layers
Muffled, yet screaming
To be the one, who cares

There is pain in the words
Words so distant, yet near
Passing through the shells inside
Calling out to me “Hear”

It says, What are you doing?
Is this the life you need?
Is need and want the same?
Begging me to heed

And in all of it there is a plea
To fight the darkness growing
To be the man, i idolized
The river of idealism, now flowing

I have to rise, above myself
And fight the mold that has engulfed
Me, for i have become unsuspecting
And now, it wants blood

The time to choose is upon me
Its not the future or past
Choose, right now, in this moment
Be steady, Be strong, Be fast

Brek through this mould and be reborn
the possibility of an idealist
To believe that there is justice, and right
To believe, life is but my choice

Let go of the chains
Free your brains
Clear your sight
Restart the fight

The voice grows stronger
The voice grows clearer
The voice feels closer
Now, the voice feels my own!
