Lust

Call it an emotion. Call it a way of life! A lot of us are here because of this. Reminds of the Delhi Police slogan : With You.For You.Always! ( I hope it was Delhi Police )

I have often come close to writing about lust but well I always got carried in emotion. Finally though I got there today. I pushed myself that no matter how hard is tries to seduce me, i would not give in to lust.

So what is Lust? Well I guess its a kind of energy. A force in itself. A force that has probably destroyed millions of people and a force that has probably created billions. A force so strong, that only few can resist it.

I read a story about a girl auctioning her Virginity for like a million dollars. I wont try to judge her on that. But the fact is it could fund not just her but like 4-5 people like her. And the mere fact was that somewhere there was a guy willing to pay that much for what can only be termed as Lust.

Again I wont try to judge the emotion. I wont try to categorize it in good or bad. It just is. Its hard to resist and a lot of times I have ended up hating myself ( though the hate is short-lived ) for giving in to lust. Guilt is probably a by-product of Lust so well we have to live with it.

Well i really dont know what i am trying to achieve by writing this. But somehow suddenly i knew i had to write it down. Write how Lust can be a force so powerful that it can destroy a lot and also create a lot. A force that leads to unknown consequences as a by-product. And on the road to enlightenment, there is a check-post which says “Step forward if Lust no longer overpowers you“. The check-post is in sight and yet maybe too far away!
