Once again I blink my eyes
Open my mouth to speak
The lips move naturally
But the words are far away
Clouded is my mind from fear
Burnt is my heart from anger
The two things I always avoid
Come back together for their final kill
Just when life was perfect
The tides ebbing and flowing
All there was a sunshine
And fear came to fore
I neglected it, this fear
I let it grow within
And soon it started calling
And embers started to glow
This fear controlled me
And this started the decay
So the fear shouted, this world is evil
And I believed
And I shouted back at the world, seeing evil
And the world fueled my fear
Until one day there was no world
And there was darkness
And my only light was consumed
By the anger left behind
I search now, for a glow
The heart consumed by darkness
Come and set me free
For there is nothing left of me
Now I walk in darkness
Guided by this fear
Find me before I am gone
Set me free, whatever is left of me
