Tonight, when the world is out
And I sit outside, on the grass
Looking at the dark lush valleys
And sounds of ruffling leaves
I think about those moments
When life as I know changed
Yes it is all too simple, all too clear
For the world, for you!
Its apparent what I do is wrong
I try hard, I struggle
To make them feel what I do
To show them the colors
I am not colorblind
I try in vain to show the logic
But it isn’t right, it would never be so
For to them we are all
Determined by what we did
And what we can do
Matters not a cent
For the past will always be a part of the present
No matter how hard we let it rest
And in despair, almost lonely
I shout out to the empty spaces
Take my heart back
Never let it find its way home
For I tried so hard, to explain
That I just want to be happy
And yet they laugh it off
And mocking they say
It’s a passion of a child
The world is cruel
I see light, I find joy
It makes me happy
She makes me happy
She shows me the path
And that’s all that matters
