Endings

Posted on September 22, 2009January 21, 2018 by pranay

A morning comes with its new light
thousands of things start afresh
and by the time, the darkness falls
its time for all things to end

The starting is full of joy
the ending always forgotten
but why, i ask, is the ending so tough
like burning in the hot sun

There is never a end, too easy
there is never a end, too nice
endings are made in heaven too, maybe
served with salt and spice

The best way is to leave it hanging
like a sword dangling in mid air
one is carefree, and happy for the end
the other always left in despair

And if you try to talk the end out
the end is, never is
to swallow the ego, to make the move
and the reasons always amiss

I wish endings could be happy
two people deciding to move different ways
but, in reality, they are never so
one moves on, and lets the other stay

Just wrote it in last 10 minutes. Was wondering how endings could never be happy. And this was the end result
