One in too Many

Posted on March 18, 2009January 21, 2018 by pranay

We are Humans.
You, me and possibly everyone who might read this.
We are civilized. ( At least most of us are )
We have a pattern, a routine, fixed laws.
We think we are advanced.

But are we? Aren’t we as predictable as other species.
Dont our most primitive emotions and reflexes still dominate?

The feeling of Lust and Power. All this was our starting point years before too.
All this is still the center of issues now also. But this is not what i want to write about.
What predictability i want to find is in people. In their behaviour?

When a person is in a limited environment, not much interaction, bound up.
At that time, even a simple link to outside world is enough. He loves it, revers it.
He knows and fully remembers the value, a single thing/person specifies.

>>From the early man period,we have moved to 21st century. What’s new?
A little more freedom, of life, of expression, of living. But the value is gone.
Perhaps even the love. All that is left of the old times is past, the history.

“A single bulb lights the darkest of darkness, but is forgotten in a sea of blinding lights.”
I dont know whether someone has ever quoted this before, but i am doing it right now.
I am not questioning the right or wrong of the statement. Just observing.

We all have things/people at times, like the lone bulb. One entity making life worth living for.
And yet when i m in the sea full of flashing lights, would i remember the the single bulb , whom i loved dearly.

I really dont know what point i make here. Just felt like writing this , cause i have wanted to for a long time.
