It rained all day, and it rained more

\nThe dams were almost struggling

And the wind too howled
\nas if pricked in the heart
\nThere was anguish, perhaps despair
\nThe end wasn\u2019t near, as was the start<\/p>\n
On the tree beside the bank
\non the last branch but one
\nthe 2 birds stuck together
\nwaiting for the shining sun<\/p>\n
Below the tree stood a beast
\nSo hungry, unfazed even by the wind and the rain
\nIt stared at the birds up the tree
\nThose eyes full of want and pain<\/p>\n
And deep inside the river
\nthe fish scurried to their homes
\nThe bigger ones start to hunt
\nAnd the rest enter their domes<\/p>\n
At last, the wind overcomes
\nThe leaf falls, touching the fruit
\nThe fruit crashes on the bird
\nThe bird falls to the brute<\/p>\n
The brute goes to drink water
\nThe water swallows him up<\/p>\n
The hunters of the river
\nget their hunt too
\nThe wind howls again, almost contently
