The path in the forest

Behind those mountains
Among the woods
There lies a path
The path less trodden

Many have tried
to walk its steps
Yet eventually
It leads them to another
destination

Only those that feel
No sorrow, No joy
No love, Nor anger
Ironic that they feel
Yet nothing

Once you give up love
There is attachment
Further down that path
When love is gone
And attachment shed
There may linger
Webs of lust

And if you manage
To leave them be
There is that fork
The one where each falters
One points to the destination
The other says just journey
And we all do it for the destination
And ignore the journey

It so happened that I
got lost in this same forest
And came across this same path

I wondered aint it weird
to find a path
In this weird forest
And curosity drove me forward

I gave up love
And then shed attachment too
I denied lust to bind me
Until I found that fork

Here I stopped and
Though, if this is the end
Then what would I do next
And so I went down that path
And my journey still continues

Each day I learn.

The lessons this path
has taught me so far
about loving without wanting
about being free while being attached
about being the spider in
the web of lust

It also tells, each day
of the fact that end is
as far away as
the universe extends

On the path there is
a lot to learn
until you leave this body
And the journey still continues
There is no end
As there was no starting!
