For Me

Posted on January 1, 2012January 21, 2018 by pranay

The night is still cold
I am still sitting here
Shivering at time due
to this sudden breeze

There’s no soul in sight
Its one of those dark nights
Where you just sit alone
And all there is that stone

They say it started here
The first sound of despair
That slowly took root and spread
The voice that lay it all bare

It had all started with a question
Why am I here?
Which had soon spread into the world
And finally led us all nowhere

Thousands died, more insane
And yet none the wiser
Until it was but me
And this stone I see

Why am I here it asked me again
A malicious grin spreading
The victory it could breathe
But not just yet

And after what was hours
When the first light of sun touched
I finally spoke the 2 words
And instantly the stone vanished

There it was, the end
The end of what was
But not of what will be
And it was For Me
