Its funny to have a life full of ups and down. It can be traumatic too. And the twists and turns, the play of destiny, the factor of LUCK all play their part. Just wanted to rethink my experience. So started writing about it. The priority list for me was CAT, placements, and passing.

I had registered to take CAT on 29th Nov. But then that sudden feeling at the last moment of giving the exam in the morning slot. I had decided to take it on 30th. I got it changed, which changed my test site code. That was in September. As luck would have it, one of the companies i was interested in appearing was Future First. And it would be taking its written on the eve of my CAT exam ( 29th/nov evening ) . I choose to focus on CAT and not appear for the test. My CAT as this new test site got canceled. So i lost the CAT and the company, which was quite frustrating.

Then started the placement game. Started off well on the first day. From the second day, however, the real show began. Companies coming and picking up 1 or 2. Half of expected numbers. The rude ORACLE shock. It took 20 from IT-BHU and 6 ( only 2 CSE BT ) from here. After that there was cancellations by companies etc. The whole situation turned grim. For me however i had expected a cakewalk in placement.

Things turned out quite otherwise. After 6 written, 5 interviews, i finally landed a job in the best networks company in the world ’CISCO’. After 4 days of turmoil and disaster something had finally gone my way. The CAT on 7th went quite well as well. I was able to do all 60 questions. Things started appearing bright. Then i had thought, things couldn’t possibly go wrong now. THEY DID.

Just a day before i was planning to book a ticket home, the results came out. And i had been failed. I was left shocked, i could not believe it. It was totally ridiculous. How could they do this to me. And the professor is not in Guwahati too. So the only choice for me now is to wait till he comes back, talk to him, and hope for the best. Life can change in days. Rather it can change in seconds. And i dont really know why mine did.

I mean how can things go so wrong!! I am left with nothing but the option to pray and wait and pray more!! Just hoping things turn out okay.
